History

Directions:   From the Intersection of SH 121 and C R 338 go South on C R 338 1.2 miles to a power line and railroad crossing (house address at this point is 3536 C R338);  turn left and follow the powerline road 0.2 miles to the 6th power line pole (The pole number is 2279-578-6331); park and walk about 100 yards to the left along a road the scouts cleared and the cemetery will be on your left.  You could actually drive the 100 yards with a truck or SUV.

The cemetery is just across the fence from the  barn at the newly constructed house and barn at 3662 C R 338 but you can't get to it that way because the property owner now has a gate at the entrance to his driveway. I did not count the number of graves but I expect there may be as many as 75 grave markers in the graveyard. They date back to the 1850's and many of them have weathered to the point they can't be completely read. (Huntley  Shelton)

6.  Charlie Odell Cave   (2 1/2 year old son of Levi Tolbert Cave, grandson of James Franklin Cave and great grandson of Betsy Cave Brazeal)  Born July 7 1900 in Collin County and died Dec 12, 1902. I found his obituary in a Collin County paper in the Library there but I didn't write the name of the paper on my copy but I am sure it was the next paper after he died.  His night clothes caught fire and he burned to death so he had a fairly large obituary for a little boy.  I have been told that his father carved a chair from a tree by his grave because she spent so much time at the cemetery. (EW)(Unmarked)  OBIT
