Directions: From Carthage go four miles south on U.S. Hwy 59 S turn left on FM 2517.- There is a sign "Scott Cemetery" on FM2517 at CR467 which is about 5.5 miles East of Hwy 31. Turn left off CR467 down a lane beside a house. The cemetery is to the rear of the house.

blluebutfly.gif (1321 bytes)The first Sunday in June is the 7th this year. Memorial Day for the Scott Cemetery and the Panola Baptist Church will be that day at the Church on FM 2517. After church services there will be a pot luck lunch and visitation. Please try to attend. Last year's attendance was very low. Please remind your extended families.

The First Sunday in June gathering was originally the birthday celebration for Andrew Jackson Mayfield and was well attended for many years. In the first years, it was held at the Mayfield home and as it grew, was moved to the Church grounds. It later evolved into the Memorial day for the Scott Cemetery and later the Panola Baptist Church.  Hope to see you there.  Norm
