Susan Kaye Parks Reese, age 38, passed away in her home in Lewisville, Texas, on April 7, 2008.
Susan was born to Walter and Jo Ann Parks in Longview, Texas on September 25, 1969. Susan was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville, serving many roles in the preschool and sang in the church choir. She was a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for the Lewisville, Highland Village, and Flower Mound fire departments. She taught firefighting classes at Texas A&M for 12 years. Susan is survived by her husband, Tim Reese; daughter, Sarah Reese; her mother, Jo Ann Parks; and sister, Debbi Griffin; and special niece, Sammi Griffin. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Lin Monroe and husband, Kevin, and nephew and niece, J.K. and Meredith Monroe; sister-in-law, Sheila Reese; sister-in-law, Merelee Reese; mother and father-in-law, Steve and Jean Reese; and two aunts, Joy Gilbert and husband, Ron, and Pauline Owens. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Wally Parks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Deacon Family Fund or Preschool Ministry. A visitation was held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dalton & Son Funeral Home in Lewisville. Funeral Services were held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Lewisville, Pastors Truett King and Stephen Hatfield officiating.
