TOM J. BROWN

  KNOX CITY (RNS) – Tom J. Brown, 93, of Weinert, a retired farmer, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday in the Brazos Valley Care Home in Knox City.  Funeral is pending with Smith Funeral Home in Knox City

  Mr. Brown was born March 22, 1879 in Mississippi.  He married Mary Emily Warren July 27, 1899, in Walnut Springs.  She died in 1967.

  He had farmed in the Weinert area since 1921 before retiring about 6½ years ago.  He was a member of the Weinert Methodist Church.

  Survivors are three sons, Elbert and Rube, both of Rochester and Joe, of Goree.  Four daughters, Mrs. Loyd Lemley and Mrs. W. R. Sanderson, both of Knox City, Mrs. Bertha McBeth of Hale Center and Mrs. Ray McWhorter of Rochester; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
