HASKELL — Johnnie Mae Brown, age 76, of Haskell, Texas, died Sunday, August 28, 2005, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.

Brown was employed by Brazos Valley Care Home in Knox City for 20 years before retiring. She played the piano at Faith Chapel and also country and gospel at Nursing homes with the Silverhaired Trio. Johnnie was born to Hent and Bonnie Flanary Mason on April 30, 1929 in Haskell County. She married J.C. Brown. He along with her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Norwood and husband Tommy of Hamlin. Son- Thurman (Pete) Brown and wife Johnnie of Breckenridge, Texas.

Arrangements are being handled by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home, 304 N. 2nd Street, Haskell, Texas.

Funeral service will be at Faith Chapel at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2005 , Rev. Katherine Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Weinert Cemetery in Weinert, Texas.

The family will be at 807 North 8th St. in Haskell.
