J.C. Irving Brown
ROCHESTER -- J.C. Irving Brown, 69, died Monday at his home after a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Weinert Cemetery with the Rev. Truett Kuenstler officiating, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born in Haskell County and attended school in Rochester. He married Johnnie Mason in 1952 in Knox City. He worked as an oilfield pumper and in agriculture. He moved to Rochester in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, of Rochester; one daughter, Sherry Norwood of Hamlin; one son, Thurman "Pete" Brown of Breckenridge; one sister, Bonnie Jo McWhorter of Donna; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
