RALPH I BROWN

KNOX CITY-Ralph Brown, 70, of Grapevine, Tx, passed away at 1:00 pm Monday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital, Abilene, following a lengthy illiness.

 Funeral was held Wednesday at the Rochester Church of Christ, with Payne Haddox Church of Christ, minister of De Leon, officiating.

 Burial was in Weinert Cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brown was born in Bosque County, Tx. August 24, 1900. He moved to Haskell County in 1921. In 1965 he moved to Grapevine, Texas. He moved to Abilene, May 24, 1971 to live with his daughter, Mrs. Pearl Greenhaw.

 He married Ellie Mae Elliott, May 8, 1923, in Haskell, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

 Survivors include his wife, three sons, Tom of Hurst,Texas,  Alvis of Fort Worth,Texas, and Donald of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Greenhaw of Abilene, Tx. and his father, Tom Brown of Knox City, Texas, three brothers, Elbert of Rochester, Joe of Goree, Rube of Seminole, four sisters, Mrs. Floretta Lemley, Mrs. Ina Sanderson of Knox City, Mrs, Bertha McBeth of Hale Center and Mrs. Dora McWhorter of Rochester; and 9 grandchildren.

 Pallbearers will be Thisel Beason, Guy Marshall, Virgil Sonnamaker, Carl Norwood and Elmer Norwood.
