Plaska Cemetery

Hall County, Cemeteries of Texas

Location:  This cemetery lies about 3 miles northwest of what was the Plaska community.

These cemetery records were donated to us by Anne Chappell. The land was never deeded as a cemetery. Decades ago the owner turned livestock in on the 2 or 3 acres that it covers. Apparently all the descendants of those interred there had moved away for no one protested the action. As years went by, stones were overturned, weeds grew higher, and dirt collected over the monuments. Now only the following three are visible. No trace is left of those that are undoubtedly buried under soil and weeds. People who lived in the area many years ago recall there were ten to twenty, perhaps more monuments. There were probably originally several unmarked or poorly marked graves. If there are any questions or if you think there is an error please e-mail Anne Chappell
She will do lookups for cemeteries in Hall County. Thank you Anne for your gracious contribution to this site!
