Lois Ruth Sims

ODESSA Lois Sims was born in Durant, OK, on June 15, 1917. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 2, 2004, at the Hospice House of Odessa, TX.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Jetta Griffin of Odessa, TX; two grandsons, Rod Griffin and wife Carolyn of Odessa, TX, and Danny Griffin of Odessa, TX; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Griffin of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Shannon Baldwin and husband Scott of Cedar Creek, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivy and Carrie Sims; two sisters, Watha Bailey and Cybil Crambaugh; brother, Jack Sims; and son-in-law, Rod E. Griffin.
She moved to Hobbs, N.M., in the mid-sixties and worked as a medical assistant for many years. After suffering
a paralyzing stroke in 1969,
she lived with her daughter Jetta and family in Midland, TX, then later in Odessa,
TX.
Visitation will be held Friday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 6, 2004, in the Harmony section of Sunset Memorial Gardens with Don Fankhauser officiating.
