Kenneth Ewell Powell

ODESSA Kenneth Ewell Powell, 72, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He was born December 28, 1931, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Ewell J. and Ollie Mae (Benham) Powell. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1957. Kenneth married Georgia Baird October 31, 1962, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He had worked as a movie theater manager for Video Independent Theaters and other theaters in the area. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia of Odessa; son, Kenneth Lee Powell of New Milford, Connecticut; daughter, Patricia Huntley of Big Spring; sister, Wanda King of Odessa; two grandchildren, Scotty Carson of Ozona and Misty Johnson of Big Spring; and two nephews, Michael King of Odessa and Mark King of Odessa.
