Carolyn Ann Meador North

ODESSA Carolyn Ann Meador North left this world for her home in Heaven Monday evening, Nov. 29, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hospice House Foundation Home in Odessa.
Carolyn was born September 19, 1949, in Odessa to Foy and Dorothy Meador.
She leaves behind, her parents, Dorothy and Foy Meador; three children, daughters, Natalie Gumpl and husband Mitch of Round Rock, Amanda Edwards and husband Paul of Crosby, TX; son, Erik Michael North of Odessa; brother, Steven Meador and wife Debra of Odessa; grandsons, Samuel Michael Edwards of Crosby and David Foy Gumpl of Round Rock; nieces Courtney Phillips and husband Chris of San Antonio and Heather Oakland Smith of Higgley, AZ.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Michael Gordon North in 1981.
She attended public school in Odessa and Odessa College and received her B.S. degree from Texas Tech in Lubbock. and her masters degree from New Mexico State University, in Las Cruces. She taught school in Meadow and El Paso and retired from Region 18 Education Service Center working as a Vocational Equity Consultant.
Carolyn was a wonderful loving daughter, sister and mother to her family.
After her husband’s death she devoted her life to raising her three children and her career. She provided well for her family making sure her children were provided with the opportunity for a college education.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron McWilliams and the Rev. Johnny Young officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to make donations to Hospice House at 516 N. Texas St. Odessa, TX, or the American Cancer Society.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
