Jimmy ‘Mr. T’ Townson

ODESSA — Jimmy ‘Mr. T’ Townson, 80, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, Feb. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Eldora Townson; parents, William and Vina Townson; and sister, Billie Woodrow.
Jimmy is survived by two sons, Jimmy Jr. of Lake Jackson and Joe of Odessa; one daughter, Karen of Odessa; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Johnny and George Townson, and a sister, Polly Yoakum, of Vernon. He was loved by many nieces and nephews and his buddy, Bandit.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Meals on Wheels in Memory of Jimmy Townson.
