Marjorie Francis ODESSA Marjorie Francis, 82, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Monday, December 6, 2004, at the Mabee Health Care Center in Midland. She was born December 11, 1921, in DeRidder, LA. She married Billy Gene Francis Nov. 8, 1942, in Las Vegas. She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of the Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary, the Odessa Garden Club, and the Odessa Study Club. She is survived by her husband, Billy Gene Francis of Odessa; son, John Frank Francis and wife, Judith, of Alexandria, Va.; daughter, Kathleen Best of Amarillo; sister, Frances Lytel and husband, Don, of Lafayette, La.; three grandchildren, Eric Best, Shawn Best and Sarah Frances; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Ben Best. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Nora Fitch officiating. The family requests memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
