James Wesley ‘Jim’ Allbright

ODESSA On Saturday, December 25, 2004, James Allbright “Jim” met the Lord after a lengthy illness. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim lived his life in Monahans and Odessa. He was born to Calvin and Lucille Allbright on July 26, 1945. He married his sweetheart and best friend Beverly Duckworth on March 8, 1963, in Abilene, TX. He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. La Salle and was honorably discharged in 1966. He returned to Odessa and established Allbright and Associates Inc. at 8011 Andrews Hwy. He and Beverly and their three sons own and operate the company.
Jim was well respected and served his community at every opportunity. He was a member of the VFW, Elks, and was an honorary member of the West Odessa Volunteer Fire Dept. Jim’s pet project has been the on-going backing and fund raising for the Volunteer Fire Department of West Odessa. They made him an honorary member and will serve as pallbearers.
Jim and Beverly have resided at 5601 Wyoming in Odessa since 1977. Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly and their three sons. His greatest joy in life is his family and he was especially proud of his sons and grandchildren. His sons are Jimmy Allbright and wife, Starla, son, Michael and wife, Kristi, and son, Jay, and six grandchildren, Misty and Joshua, Lyndzie, Emily, John Michael, and Kyle James, all of Odessa, TX. Jim has a sister, Janice Slaton of Odessa and a nephew, Barney Eckert of Crowley. Barney and Jim have had a life long close relationship. Jim was loved by all who knew him and our family will miss him always.
The family will have a visitation at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
