Espididona ‘Yona’ Abeyta

ODESSA — Espididona “Yona” Abeyta, 91, passed to Heaven on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, in Odessa.
Yona was a homemaker and loved by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Abeyta Sr.; son, Idel Abeyta; and grandson, Michael Abeyta.
She is survived by sons, Alex Abeyta and wife Erma of El Paso and Juan Abeyta and wife Ann of Charleston, S.C.; daughters, Dolores Puga and husband Joe and Ofelia Armendarez and husband Phillip, all of Odessa; sister-in-law, Polly Abeyta of Odessa; niece, Mary Banegas and son Matt of Tempe, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and the family will receive family and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
