Dessa Gwen Brodnax

SAN ANGELO — Dessa Gwen Brodnax, 89, formerly of San Angelo, passed away September 26, 2004, in Austin.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Charles Camp officiating.
Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Gwen was born July 8, 1915, in San Angelo, to Charles and Zella Boykin.
Gwen was a hard working Mom and very dedicated to her family. She worked for Paul Q. Mills Jewelry Store and Florence and Martha Dress Shop in San Angelo. Gwen loved music and her favorite was Country and Western. She attended the Angelo Heights Methodist Church and was a long time resident of the Fairview Community. Gwen always had a positive attitude and was a strong role model for her family. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth G. Brodnax; and brothers, Lamar Boykin and Lois Boykin.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth G. Brodnax of Odessa; and daughter, Myra Brodnax Betsinger and husband, Brett, of Austin.
