Josephine Annette Trewitt

ODESSA — Josephine Annette Trewitt of Odessa, mother of Waco resident Becky Dorsey, died Friday June 25, 2004, in Waco at the age of 84. Graveside services and interment will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 28, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with Rev. Charles Tapley officiating under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor.
Mrs. Trewitt was born December 3, 1919, in Athens, Texas, the daughter of the late Tommy Carl and Lettie Alma (Thomas) Russell where she attended school. On May 5, 1938, she married Ewell Thomas Cooper in Loving, New Mexico. He preceded her in death June 6, 1944, with the 82nd Airborne during WWII. She later married Robert Lee Trewitt May 25, 1970. He preceded her in death January 26, 1980. Much of her life was spent in Odessa where she was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star prior to moving to Waco in 1996.
One son, Kelly Joe Cooper and a daughter, Judith Lynn Cooper also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter Becky Dorsey of Harris Creek, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
