Opal Lou Bernice Miller
MIDLAND — Opal Lou Bernice Miller passed away at Central Mississippi Medical
Center Hospital in Jackson, Miss., July 6, 2004. Mrs. Miller was born September
16, 1907, in Rockwell County, Texas, to Clements and Centha Clarkson. She met
and later married Paul Miller Sr. October 1, 1922, in Electra, Texas. She lived
in Odessa from 1966 to 1992.
Her husband, Paul Miller Sr., precedes her in death. Two sons, Bob Miller and
Gerald Miller, also precede her in death.
Family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004,
at Pipkin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. July 10, 2004, at
Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nick Gates officiating. Interment will
follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Miller Jr. of McCamey, Texas, John Miller of
Amarillo, Texas, George Miller of Andrews, Texas, Bill Miller of Odessa, Texas,
Jerry Miller of Midland, Texas, and Ed Miller of Denver, Colo.; two daughters,
Margaret Dobbins of Amarillo, Texas, and Juanita Howell of Clinton, Miss.; 14
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Pipkin Funeral Home.
