Thelma Jean ‘Jeanne’ Baker

ODESSA — Thelma Jean “Jeanne” Baker, 70, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004, at her residence.
She was born June 9, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a caring person who lived in Rising Star most of her adult life and in Odessa where she retired from Bank of America.
Her father, Lloyd Law, and her mother, Jewel Martin, precede her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Chip McCarver and wife Christina of Midland and Don McCarver and wife Martha of Longmont, Colo.; grandchildren, Michael McCarver, Jonathan McCarver, Josh McCarver and Leah McCarver; great-grandchildren, Jadin McCarver, Micah Cornwell, Judah Cornwell and Greg Cornwell; sisters, Sheri Dyer, Sarah Peeples, Melinda Epistein and Teri Phillips; and brothers, Gail Shell and James Taylor.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, with the Rev. Jimmy Dennis officiating.
The family will receive friends during visitation from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
