Ruth Irene Kilian Namken

ODESSA — Ruth Irene Kilian Namken, 82, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2004, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
She was born November 1, 1921, in Giddings, TX to her parents Pastor Theodore and Martha Proske Kilian. She graduated from high school in Giddings.
She came to Odessa in 1946 from Vernon, TX. She married Milton J. Namken on April 20, 1941 in Giddings, TX. He passed away August 9, 1981. She was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1946 where she was also involved in the Braille ministry.
She is survived by her son, Larry Namken of Odessa, and her daughter Kathy King and husband James of Odessa, her 3 grandchildren, Jason King of Odessa, Dustin King and wife Melissa of Flower Mound, Amanda Morris of Austin and great granddaughter Katie King of Flower Mound.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2004, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Dean Kelm officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Bill Hetzler, Jim McClelland, Bob Syner, Tim Hewitt, Pastor Don Rosentreter and Walter Schneider, honorary pallbearers, Jason King, Dustin King, Leland Morris, Pastor Jerry Bagwell and Wilburn Rosentreter.
