Leonor Martinez

ODESSA — Leonor Martinez, 83, of Odessa, went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at her residence.
She was born in Dr. Gonzales, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on March 13, 1921, to Jesus and Leonor Martinez. She was a homemaker and a Christian Catholic. She united in marriage to Reynaldo Martinez in Dr. Gonzales, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on November 21, 1954, and to this marriage was born a son, Robert Martinez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ruben and Homero Martinez; and two sisters, Celia and Tere Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Reynaldo Martinez of Odessa; son Robert Martinez and wife Karen of Odessa; brothers Agoberto Martinez and Abel Martinez; sister Tona Gonzales; all from Monterey, Mexico; and one grandchild: Blake Martinez of Odessa.
We the family would like to express our utmost sincere gratitude to all the staff at Odyssey Hospice especially Manuel Rios, Terry Baird and Dolores for the wonderful care that was given to my wife and mother during this time. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, May 18, 2004, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 19, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
