Florence Evelyn Wiese

ODESSA — Florence Evelyn Wiese, 80, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 5, 1923, in Lake Providence, La., to Lucien and Belle Rentz. Flo was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church as well as the secretary there for 31 years. She was a resident of Odessa since 1951.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Wiese, on Jan. 7, 2004.
She is survived by her son, James M. ‘Mike’ Wiese and wife Jan of Odessa; daughters, Suzanne Culbertson and husband Ronald of Georgetown, Lisa Mangus and husband Kenneth of Odessa, Mary Jane Ritz of Houston, Debbie McGill and husband Jim of Odessa, Kelly Clark and husband Kent of Odessa; sister, Dee Bigler of Irving; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 11, 2004, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to thank Mom’s long-term caregiver, Narce Ruiz, for her many hours of devoted care.
