Glen Henry Barks

ODESSA — Glen Henry Barks, 70, of Odessa, died from a lengthy illness Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Weatherford.
Glen was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Caney, Ark., to John Henry and Nettie Mae Barks. He served in the U.S. Army. Glen worked as an electrician. Although he was an avid fisherman, Glen’s true passion was playing the guitar.
Glen is survived by his children, Darryl Barks of Odessa, Larry Barks of Weatherford, David Barks and wife Tammy of Fort Worth and Gary Barks and wife Susan of Weatherford; siblings, Claude Barks and wife Ovella of Hot Springs and Geneva Thomason; and grandchildren, Laredo Barks, Joshua Barks, Rebekah Barks, Micah Barks, Dylan Barks and Reagan Barks.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at the Beacon Baptist Church of Odessa with the Rev. Amon Langston officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
