The family cemetery of Jesse Whatley Reid and wife, Jerushab Brown Gilbert, early settlers of the Proctor community (Comanche county, Texas), who moved from DeSota Parish, LA. about 1876. Other members buried include a son, Hamil Raiford Reid with wife Sarah Louisa Maxwell, a daughter Sarah Eliza Reid, a grandson Walter Reid and granddaughter, Isla Lillian Reid. Other allied family members are also buried there. The cemetery is 2 miles east of Proctor on FM 1476 at the intersection of County Road 328 across from the Graham’s Chapel cemetery.
