The cemetery (Longitude 100.04091: Latitude 34.37835) is located one half mile east of Kirkland, Texas on the north side of US Highway 287, approximately 300 feet from, and visible from the highway. There is a road along the center of the cemetery and tombstones are situated either on the West of the road or the East of the road as indicated below. Names or data enclosed in parentheses ( ) are not on tombstones, but from personal knowledge.

Michael Hughes, of Childress, compiled the basic listing in 1990 and added supplements for some years not available to me. Additional listings have been added over the years by others. The obvious omission of persons who died before 1908 is unknown. The town was inhabited at its present location along the railroad as early as 1895, and was a booming little town by 1905.
