Location:  West of Blanco where the Hines Branch runs into the Blanco, under the
the big oak tree on the south side of the bridge (1985)

The story of this grave has been passed down by word of mouth only as I have never seen
anything written about it.

Probably in the mid 1800's the Hines family lived up a few hundred yards on the
Hines Ranch.  A black man came to the homestead and either made advances or
scared one of the women.  A chase occured with the black man trying to seim across
the Blanco River.  He was shot and buried on the spot.
