Funeral services for Mr. Christopher J. Burroughs, 30, of Carthage will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. L. W. Thorn officiating. Burial will be in Hogg Eye Cemetery in Longstreet, La., under the direction of Black's Carthage Funeral Home. Mr. Burroughs died Sunday, April 8, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Survivors include his mother, Della B. Gates of Carthage; father, John H. Gates of Carthage; two daughters, Ashanti Burroughs and Christine Burroughs, both of Carthage; two brothers, Tyrone E. Burroughs of Louisville, Ken., and Juan Hoza Gates of Marshall; and four sisters, Lynn Cole Williams and Star Williams, both of Marshall, and Elana Gates and Cythia Gates, both of Carthage..
