William J. "Andy" Anderson

STONEWALL, LA - W.J. "Andy" Anderson, of Stonewall, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend David Vennable, pastor of Westwood Baptist Church, Reverend Ira Gamble, and Reverend Bruce E. Parrish, interim pastor of Kingston Baptist Church in Frierson, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the funeral home, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

Mr. Anderson retired from Shreveport Water and Sewerage department, and later as owner of A&J Pest Control. He was a member of Northwest Pest Control Association and The Gideon Living Memorial Bible Association. "Andy" enjoyed leading the singing at Kingston Baptist Church, where he was a member. He also enjoyed entertaining at churches and nursing homes with his group of singers and musicians. He truly loved his church, his family and his many friends.

Preceding Mr. Anderson in death were his parents, Raymond and Gladys Anderson and a grandson, Greg Anderson Ouzts.

Surviving him is his dear wife of 45 years, Johnnie Parker Anderson; daughters, Teethina LaGay Ouzts and husband, Terry, and Kalana Angela Anderson; sister, Louise McGaha and husband, Huey; four grandchildren, Angela Denise, Terri Lynn, David Alexander and John Anderson Ouzts; numerous extended family members and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Dennis McGaha, Chuck Williams, Mark Williams, Mike Williams, Steve Shepard and Scott Parker. Honorary pallbearers, John Baliff, David Evans, Buzzie Hay, Frank McDermont, James Lee, Johnny Finney, George Dement, Gary Toole and Michael Waters.

The family suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon Living Memorial Bible Association.
