Leon Coker

Union Springs Cemetery

Union Springs, Louisiana - Funeral services for Leon Coker, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Rose-Neath Chapel, Mansfield LA with Rev. David Lane officiating. burial will be at Union Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Coker, a native and lifelong resident of Union Springs died September 4, 2006 in Shreveport. He was retired from Boiler Maker Welder Local 79 in Lake Charles, LA. He was a member of Mitchell Lodge #252 in converse, LA and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by: wife Lemerl Coker; daughter Gwen and husband Harold Murray; brother Harold Coker and Parents Henry and Maggie Coker.

Survivors: son Wendell Coker and wife Bonita; daughters Syble Shoalmire and husband Raymond, and Shirley Law and husband Alan; sister Lois Winchester; brother Davis Coker and wife Billie; grandchildren Edward Leon Coker, Wende Wilson and husband Ryan, Randy Shoalmire and wife Debbie, Ricky Shoalmire, Vicky Brooks and husband Tommy, Lori Keen and husband Jay, Harold David Murray and wife Pam, and Brenda Garrett and husband Ron; twenty Great Grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to: Union Springs Cemetery.
