The Shreveport Times Sunday, March 05, 2006 Obituaries SMSGT Billy Ray Troutman Sloan Cemetery, Mansfield, LA SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Billy Ray Troutman, 71, will be held Monday March 6, 2006, at 1:00 pm in Sloan Cemetery, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend Steve Wilson, associate pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home, Sunday, March 5, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Billy Ray was born in Mayflower Arkansas, on August 12, 1934, to the late Johnny and Ruby Troutman. Mr. Troutman served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired as Sr. Master Sgt. His past time was often spent at his favorite sport, fishing. Holidays were special because of the family gatherings. Billy Ray loved his family. Mr. Troutman is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ruby Troutman, sister, Margie Hall, and brother, Leon Troutman. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Shirley Troutman; daughters, Pam Thompson and husband, David, Terri Gillespie and Stacy Tabor; brother, Johnny Keith Troutman and wife, Joyce; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Willis-Knighton Pierremont Intensive Care Unit for the excellent care given our loved one. Pallbearers will be family members.
