Louise O. Smith

Sloan Cemetery, DeSoto Parish, LA

MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Louise O. Smith, 79, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Rose-Neath Chapel, Mansfield, LA with Rev. Larry Simpson officiating, assisted by Rev. Delmon Rogers. Burial will be at Sloan Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 5:00 until 9:00.

Mrs. Smith, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 in Mansfield, LA. She was born in Pine Island, LA and was a homemaker. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Crayduth Oldham; sister Addie Newland; brother Andy Willie Oldham, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Robert Smith, Jr.; four sons Robert A. Smith, Jeffrey Smith and wife Jeanne, John Smith and wife Renee, and Matthew Smith; daughter Sherry Smith Lewis and husband Ardis; sisters Mary Ruth Burgess, and Wilma Parker; two brothers Parnell Oldham and wife Melba, and M.J. Oldham; grandchildren Patrick Lewis and wife Tammie, Christy Lewis, Joshua David Smith, Julianne Smith, John D. Smith, Joshua M. Smith, Ashley Smith, and Austin Smith; great grandchildren Madison Elizabeth Lewis, and Victoria Gail Lewis.

Pallbearers will be sons and grand-children
