Edith Ray “Bill” Booker McDonald

Prude Cemetery, Stanly, DeSoto, LA



MANSFIELD – Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006 for Edith Ray “Bill” Booker McDonald, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, LA. She was 87 years old at the time of her death. She was a homemaker; a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and LLL Club.

Services were held at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield with Bro. Weldon Sistrunk officiating.

Interment followed in the Prude Cemetery in Stanley, LA.

She was preceded in death by husbands John J. Booker and John Wilson McDonald; parents Richard and Mary Ridgeway; brother Earl R. Ridgeway; sisters Suzy Fox, Thelma Hensley; step-father Thomas J. Rogers; grandson David H. Reynolds II and granddaughter Judy Wilson.

Her survivors include sons Johnny Ray Booker and wife Sue of Trinity, TX; Richard Booker and wife Jackie of Logansport, LA; Earl Booker and wife Della of Montgomery, TX; Jackie Dale Booker of Stanley, LA; Roland Booker and wife Kim of Widener, AR and John McDonald of Frierson, LA; daughters Mary Canipe and husband Randy of Stanley, LA; Jo Ann Prince of Euless, TX; Gay Nell May and husband Frank of Stanley, LA and Linda Nussman and husband Herman of Frierson, LA; brother George Rogers of Mansfield, LA; 30 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and special nephew Percy Rogers of Sulphur, LA.

Pallbearers were Earl Booker II, Richard Booker, Jr., Melvin Booker, Randy Canipe Jr., Frank May, Jr., Kenny Huckabee, Victor Tingle and Louie Cooper.
