The Shreveport Times Thursday, January 12, 2006 Catherine Carroll Vidler O. E. Price Cemetery, Logansport, LA LOGANSPORT, LA - Catherine Carroll Vidler passed away on January 9, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006 at First United Methodist Church of Logansport. Rev. Bob Hollis will officiate. Interment will follow in O.E. Price Memorial Cemetery. Catherine Carroll Vidler was born in Logansport, La. on March 15, 1922 to Alva and Addie Belle Holt Carroll. She graduated from Logansport High School and attended the Louisiana Normal College. While there she met L.H. Vidler, her life long companion and husband of 65 years. She was the oldest living member of the First United Methodist Church of Logansport. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and Aunt Cat. Grandma will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, L. H. Vidler; children, L.C. "King" Vidler and wife Betty Jo, James Robert Vidler and wife Linda of Tulsa, Ok., Julie Catherine Vidler, Shreveport, La.; thirteen grandchildren, Gene Edward Vidler and wife Sara, James H. Vidler, Noah Ciaccio, Aaron R. Vidler, Amy Carroll Vidler, Amanda Loys Vidler, Traci Vidler Allen and husband Ed, Lance Vidler and wife Betty, John David Hadwin and wife Lori, Jeremy Deas, Kaycee Deas, Tara Sullivan and Derek Deas; three great grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Vidler, Mason Edward Vidler and Antonio Joseph Ciaccio. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Logansport or DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation/Oncology Dept. in her honor. Special thanks and appreciation for extraordinary care provided to all oncology nurses and caregivers and the Doctors with the Desoto Regional Hospital. Thanks to all of the neighbors and friends for caring during this time. Pallbearers will be Gene E. Vidler, James H. Vidler, Noah C. Ciaccio, Jeremy Deas, Scott Swanson, and Casey Swanson.
