Juanita “Sadie” Moton

Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, DeSoto, LA

Graveside services for Juanita Moton were held Sunday, July 9, 2006, at 2 PM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley. Officiating were Bro. Weldon Sistrunk and Joey Ketchum, Hospice Chaplain.

Juanita was born October 15, 1933 in DeSoto Parish and died July 7, 2006 in Mansfield. She was married to Harvey Jr. Moton and lived in Longview, Texas where they raised their family. She later moved to Mansfield where she worked for the Council on Aging several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen “Tut” and Violet Fox; husband, Harvey Jr. Moton; and a son, Danny Mac Moton.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Nabors of Keatchie, Carolyn Hill and husband Carl of Pottsboro, Texas, and a son, Glen Moton and wife Rhonda of Stanley; four sisters, Dwena Henry of Stanley, Inez Harris and husband Louis of So. Pittsburg, Tennessee, Jewell Fountain and husband Pete of Baton Rouge, Mary Helen Jones of Bossier and a brother, Darrell Fox and wife Mary of Springhill.
