LOGANSPORT, LA - Funeral services for Richard Morris, 77, of Logansport, LA will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Rose-Neath Chapel, Logansport. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, LA. Officiating will be Jerry Cannon and Richard Harper.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006.

Mr. Morris died Friday, January 20, 2006 in Logansport. He was born in Tucson, Arizona. He was raised in Methodist Orphan Home in Ruston, LA and graduated at age 16 from Ruston High School. He entered Army/Airforce at age 17 and served during WWII and The Korean War. He was successful in numerous careers and business adventures. He was an accomplished Pilot and won a national title in boat racing. He was successful at everything he tried.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Morris and Adeline Morris; brother, Charles and William Morris and sister, Lorraine Marshall.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Morris; daughters, Rhonda Carroll and husband Kim, Linda Bordelon and husband Brent and Carla Amy and husband Jimmy; son, Royce Everett Morris; 6 grandchildren, Dana, Jason, Jennifer, Rick, Ryan and Jackie; and 6 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Jayce, Eli, Mackenzie, Kai and Jaydon.

Pallbearers will be Rick Harper, Jason Willis, Ryan Carroll, Terry, Darren and Kyle Smith.
