Rhoda Lou Ramsey David

Graveside services for Rhoda Lou Ramsey David, 90, of Joaquin were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, La. with Bro. Jody Hooper officiating.

Mrs. David died Feb.28, 2006 in Center, Texas. She was born July 7, 1915 in Logan, Texas, the daughter of John and Ida Ramsey. Mrs. David was a secretary in public utilities in Mansfield for years before moving to Joaquin, Texas 21 years ago.

Mrs. David was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edythe Cardin, Ruth Loper and Leora Meador; brother, John W. Ramsey; and daughter, Edith “Penny” Virginia Curry.

She is survived by her son, Richard Michael David of Joaquin; sisters, Oneda “Chink” Gordon of Joaquin, Texas, Billie Jordan of Joaquin, and Norma Ramsey of Mesquite, Texas; one grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were family members.
