The Shreveport Times Saturday, February 04, 2006 Obituaries Beverly Toups Highland Cemetery, Mansfield MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for Beverly Toups, 50, will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Latham, assisted by Rev. David Permenter and Frankie Mathis. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 4, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Toups passed away February 2, 2006 in Mansfield, LA after a lengthy illness. She was born in Shreveport, LA and was a resident of Mansfield, LA for 40 years. She worked for DeSoto Parish Clerk's Office as a Deputy Clerk of Court for 32 years. Mrs. Toups was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Artie L. and Mary Ila Blackwell; and Rufus and Alice Bolton. Survivors are her mother, Evelyn and James Cowling; father, Willard Bolton, Sr.; two sons: Brian Joseph Toups, and Patrick James Toups; brothers: Willard H. Bolton, Jr. and wife Michelle, Mitchell K. Bolton and wife Cheryl, and Jimmy Cowling; uncles: Gerald Blackwell and wife Irma Ruth, Ronnie Keith Blackwell and wife Andre, and Morman Blackwell and wife Kitty Faye; and she leaves behind many devoted friends and loving co-workers. Pallbearers will be Bob Plummer, David B. Means, Randy Guy, Jack Gamble, Rodney Blackwell, Robert Blackwell, and Ollie L. "Sonny" Stone. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or the American Cancer Society.
