Mr. James Orin Lowery

FRIERSON, LA - Funeral services for Mr. James Orin Lowery will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2006 at Kingston Baptist Church, Frierson, LA, where he was a dedicated member. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Frierson, LA.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2006 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.

Mr. Lowery was born February 1, 1917 in Hacoda, AL to the late James and Berah Anne Jones Lowery. He entered into rest Thursday, January 5, 2006 in Frierson, LA at the age of 88. Mr. Lowery proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He retired from the U.S. Postal service as a rural mail carrier.

Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Ethel C. DuBois Lowery; his children, James Paul Lowery, Edith Patteson, Cynthia Prewitt, and Amanda Doyle; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Kingston Baptist Church, Frierson, LA or to Evergreen Cemetery, P.O. Box 173, Frierson, LA 71027.
