Jackie "Captain" Wayne Sparks 

GRAND CANE, LA - Jackie "Captain" Wayne Sparks, 53, passed away June 8, 2005 at Grace Home in Shreveport, Louisiana after a short illness. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005. He was born in Mansfield, LA and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Sparks was employed as an Operations Foreman at Dolet Hills Lignite Company. 

Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his father, Tennie "T.L." Sparks and brother, Harold Glynn Sparks. 

He is survived by his wife Terry Sparks of Grand Cane, LA; mother, Iva Sparks of Mansfield, LA; two sons: Jason Lamar Sparks and wife Marisa, of Grand Cane, LA, and Adam Christopher Sparks and wife Meredith of Mansfield, LA; one sister, Deloris Bridges and husband Willis of Mansfield, LA; two grandchildren: Joshua Sparks and Melody Sparks, both of Grand Cane, LA.

In lieu of flowers, Jackie requested that memorials be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 1403 Mansfield, LA 71052.
