Hart, Jr., 80, formerly of Logansport, La., died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Southern Funeral Home of Lexington is handling arrangements. He was born June 11, 1925. He worked for Southern Natural Gas Co. for 38 1/2 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Thomas Hart, Sr. and Velma Cauthen Hart. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Fay Lewis Brown Hart; one daughter, Jan Hart Musick of Shreveport, La.; one son, Allan Hart and wife, Robin of Ruston, La.; two granddaughters: Emily Hart Irby and husband, Greg of Bossier City, La., and Megan Hart and fiance', Jared Whitard of Ruston, La.; one brother, David Hart and wife, Ann of Brandon; and many friends and relatives. Pallbearers will be Dan Hart, Bryant Davis, Brady Davis, Bill Davis, Paul HolIowell, Greg Irby, Jimmy Reeves and Keith Harthcook. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Parker, A.J. Davis, Ted Batson, Joe Dan Patton, Wilburn White, William Lewis Spell, and J. B. Herrin.
