Jim W. Burr, Jr.
Old Union Cemetery, Lula Community, DeSoto Pr., LA

Funeral services for Jim W. Burr, Jr. of Joaquin, TX were held Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Logansport Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Leonard Milford, Oakland Missionary Baptist Church and Bro. Sam Glover of the Logansport Missionary Baptist Church officiated. Interment was at Old Union Cemetery, Lula Community.

Mr. Burr passed away Thursday, April 28 at Center, Texas. He was a mechanic.
Family received friends at the Logansport Missionary Baptist Church Saturday, April 29 from 4 p.m. until service time. 

Mr. Burr was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Carrie Elizabeth Burr; brother, Thomas Elton Burr; sister, Bernice Weeks; daughters; Sonja Kay Burr and Melissa Ann Cheatwood. 

He is survived by wife Mary E. Burr of Joaquin and two sons; Jim W. Burr III and wife Vickie, and Roy Spinks and wife Shirley, of Joaquin, TX; five daughters; Mary Katherine Ebarb, Stanley, LA; Shirley Sue Aylor and husband Robert; Carolyn Elizabeth Taylor and husband, O'Neal, and Linda LaMona Williams and husband, Bernon ,of Joaquin; Deborah Ann Bartlett and husband, Joseph of Center, TX and Gladys Robena Pinion and husband Tony of Stanley, LA; two sisters Clarice La Blac and husband, Emanuel of Franklin, LA and Winnie Armstrong of Garden City, LA and four brothers: Roy Burr and wife, Jan, of Pineville, LA; Jimmy Ray Burr and wife, Ester, and Raymond Burr and wife Diane, Mansfield, LA; and Louis Burr and wife, Linda of Natchitoches, LA. 

Pallbearers were Chris Anding, Joey Anding, Joshua Anding, Shane Taylor, Tony Pinion, Danny Burr, Jeff Myers Jr. and Richard Wallace. 

Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Taylor, Tommy Lee, Sean Dauzat, Mark Wallace and Jay Bartlett.
