Leon Lawson Roberts, Jr. 
O. E. Price Cemetery, Logansport, DeSoto, LA

LOGANSPORT, LA - Graveside services for Leon Lawson Roberts, Jr., 62, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2005 at O.E. Price Cemetery, Logansport, LA. Rev. Charles Hall will officiate. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 28, 2005 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA.

Mr. Roberts passed away July 26, 2005 in Logansport, LA. Lawson was born in Logansport, LA in 1942 and a resident of the town for 20 years. He was in the Air Force for four years and refined his mechanical aptitude working on the aircraft used by military personnel. He spent the majority of his life in Shreveport, LA working in the Automotive Industry and excelled at his carrier of choice, making many good friends along the way. He married Gloria Jean Moody of Center, TX in the early 1960's and had two children. During their marriage they had a daughter, Baby Girl Roberts that passed away at birth and a son, Lawson Scott Roberts now living in Houston, TX. He then moved back to Logansport, LA in 2002 and lived the rest of his days retired in his family home. He lost his fight with lung cancer on the evening of the 26th of July. He is in a better place and we are thankful for having known him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Lawson Roberts, Sr.; mother, Margie Collins-Roberts; brother, Mark Wayne Roberts; daughter, Baby Girl Roberts and wife, Gloria Jean Roberts. 

He is survived by his son, Lawson Scott Roberts. 

Pallbearers will be Lenord Chapman, Hugh Chapman, Cole Chapman, Foster Gamble, Chris Harrell and Buck Yates.
