The Shreveport Times June 29, 2005 Obituaries Judy Ann Strobel Prudhomme New Rockdale Cemetery MANSFIELD, LA - Judy Ann Strobel Prudhomme passed away Monday, June 27, at age 50, following a long illness. Judy was born January 11,1955, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She lived and was schooled in Tuscaloosa where she graduated from high school. Judy was baptized a Christian at the Tuscaloosa Church of Christ at the age of 9 years. Judy moved to DeSoto Parish in 1981 where she worked for Brown & Root in the construction of the International Paper Company Mill in Mansfield. When the mill was completed she subsequently went to work for International Paper, where she was a long-time and dedicated employee until her death. Judy was the daughter of Leonard Albert Strobel and Mamie Pearl Williams Strobel, one of Leonard's eight children. Leonard Strobel preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Mamie Pearl Williams Strobel, and all seven siblings, Charles Lee Strobel, James Strobel, Patricia Strobel Jacobson, David Albert Strobel, Pamela Strobel Texada, Sheila Strobel Brice and Shirley Strobel Maez. Judy is also survived by her three children the results of her first marriage to Douglas Wayne Porter: Tracy Porter, Jason Porter and Adam Porter; and four (4) grandchildren: Tanbra Porter, Suerea Porter, Tylun Porter and Andrew Austin. Judy was married to Wesley Dale Prudhomme, with whom she was living at the time of her death, a marriage of almost twelve (12) years. Judy had a host of friends and extended family. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday, June 29 and June 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday, July 1, in Mansfield, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services immediately following at New Rockdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Porter, Jason Porter, Patrick Rivers, Robert Bratcher, Gary Evans and Bobby Mitchell.
