Obituaries The Shreveport Times March 25, 2005 Doma Sanders Robinson Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, DeSoto, LA Services for Mrs. Doma Sanders Robison were held at Rose-Neath in Logansport on Tuesday, March 15th with the Rev. Weldon Sistrunk officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Rose-Neath. Mrs. Robison, 85, died Sunday, March 13th at Grace Home, Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport. She was born Nov. 13, 1919, the daughter of William and Martha Matilda Sanders near the Hunter Community in DeSoto Parish. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Alice Taylor and her husband Lucky of Mansfield Texas, and grandchildren Barbie, William and Michael; her daughter Barbara McGinty and her husband Billy (Pleasant Hill, La) and granddaughters Martha and Mary; her son Robert Robison and his wife Carol (Blanchard, La), and grandchildren Frank, Cobey, Libby and Margaret; her son W.A. Robison and his wife Brenda (Natchitoches, La); her son Donnie Robison and his wife Jaye (Stanley) and grandsons B.J. and Coleman; her son Larry Robison and his wife Suzi (Shreveport) and grandchildren Ryan and Courtney; her sister Bertha Galloway (Mansfield, Texas). She will also be dearly missed by nineteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews including her special niece Mattie Ruth Brazzil of Logansport and their children, and countless neighbors and friends (especially her lifelong childhood friend, Clara Hobbs of Panama City, Fla.) The family wishes to express a special thanks to those individuals who offered her so much help and comfort during her illness: Dr. G. Patrick Connor and his staff at Schumpert Cancer Center; Melissa Richardson of the DeSoto Regional Family Medicine; the nurses and staff of Louisiana Home Health in Mansfield; and the nurses, aides and volunteers at Schumpert's Grace Home. Pallbearers were Tim King, Jay Jones, Chester W. Strauss, David Caston, Nicky Nix and Jim Lee. Honorary pallbearers were Gordon Christian, Frank Stephens, Lamar Nix, J. B. Sibley, Billy Boy Spears, James Taylor, Reuben Bryant and Delmar Liles. Sleep in peace and suffer not, Dearest Mother. Although we can see you no more, your continued presence in our hearts and minds sustains us all and brings us joy. The family suggests memorials be made to Grace Home in Shreveport.
