SHREVEPORT, LA - Charles "Bubba" Simond, Sr., 77, died in his home, after a lengthy illness on Dec. 22, 2005. Services will be held Sat. Dec. 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh B.C., 421 Webster St. Rev. E. Mims, Pastor. Family visitation is Fri. Dec. 30, 2005 6-7 p.m. at J.S. Williams Funeral, 1404 Pierre Ave. Shreveport, La. Interment is at Mary Springfield Cemetery, Benson, La. 

Charles was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Desoto Parish, to the late Oliver and Ethel Simond of Shady Grove. 

His parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister preceded him in death. 

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Bettie R. Simond; his son, Charles Simond, Jr. (Gloria); his daughter Gloria Hill and husband, Stratford, both of Shreveport, La.; his stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Randle of Oakland, Ca.; (4) grandchildren: Tray, Cynthia and Jasmine Simond, and Shemika Lacour; (2) step-grandchildren: David Haqq and James Johnson, Jr.; (3) great grands; (2) sisters: Lola Paris of Shreveport, La., and Louise Taylor of Denver, Co.; a very special sister in law, Ann Henderson, who was his Angel sent by God to be his caregiver; a brother in law, Bailey Randle, both of Shreveport, La., other relatives, church family and friends.
