Field Mays, II

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Field Mays, II will be held on Friday, September 16, 2005 in the chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home, 3701 Hollywood Ave. at 12 noon. Mays, 75, passed in his home Sunday, September 11, 2005. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, from 6-7:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Mays was preceded in death by his parents, Field Mays, Sr. and Ruth Hawkins Mays Burnell and siblings, Lawrence Burnell and Bobbie Ruth Walker. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eula R. Mays; children: Francis (Richard) Williams, Field (Mazike) Mays, III, Lydia Silas, Lawrence (Joyce) Mays, and Sherman Mays; siblings: Doris M. White, Mildred Jackson, Grady (Maryeon) Burnell, Mack (Iris) Burnell, John (Hazel) Burnell, and Earnest (Loraine) Burnell; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. 

Interment will be in the Mary Evergreen B.C. Cemetery in Grand Cane, LA.
