Obituaries The Daily Sentinel, Nacogdoches Wednesday, August 17, 2005 Frances Alston Walker Parks Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, DeSoto, LA Funeral services for Frances Alston Walker Parks, formerly of Nacogdoches, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 275 Southfield Road, in Shreveport, La. Officiating the ceremony will be Father Guido F. Verbeck III of St. Paul's. Burial will follow at the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, La. The family will receive callers from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 18, at the home of her brother, Henry Clay Walker IV, 441 Drexel Drive in Shreveport. Mrs. Parks was born September 17, 1944, in Shreveport, La., and passed away Sunday, August 14, in Corpus Christi, Texas, after a lengthy illness. It was a long goodbye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay Walker III (1944), Frances Grey Walker Jacobs (1999) and Walter Byron Jacobs Jr. (1974). She was educated at Southfield School in Shreveport, La., St. Timothy's School in Stevenson, Md., and Bennett College in Millbrook, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Fenci Oliver and her husband, John, and his children, Jack and Bevin of Corpus Christi, Texas; and son, Walker Stirling Fenci, and his wife, Diane, and their children, Stirling and Slaton of Frisco, Texas; her siblings, Henry Clay Walker IV of Shreveport, La., Elizabeth Jacobs Frazier of New Orleans, La., Sarah Jacobs Walker of New Orleans, La., and Catherine Heriot Jacobs of Shreveport, La.; and her former husbands, Piero Fenci of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Michael Parks of Los Angeles, Calif. Pallbearers will be brother Henry Walker, brothers-in-law George Frazier, Michael Walker and John Wilson, son-in-law John Oliver, cousin Lewis Robinson and dear friends Broocks Greer and Bryan Davis.
