Toledo Bend Tribune Wednesday, Dec 14, 2005 Evelyn Dick Magnolia Cemetery, Hunter Comm., Desoto Parish, LA Funeral services for Evelyn L. Dick, 84, a lifelong resident of the Hunter Community were held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church, with Bro. Weldon Sistrunk officiating. Bro. David Permenter assisted. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. The family received visitors at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport on Saturday, Dec 10, from 5-9 p.m. Mrs. Dick, who was born in Huxley, Texas, died in Shreveport, on Thursday, December 8, 2005. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William R. Dick; her parents Winford F. and Dovie Furlow; niece Marie Pfiel; and son-in-law Don Burton. Mrs. Dick is survived by her son William M. Dick and wife Sara; daughters Sharon Burton, and Karen Crain and husband George; sister Ila Stratman; nephew Chuck Stratmna, 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Pall bearers were Eddie Dick, Chris Dixon, Mike Dick, Brent Craig, Christopher Dixon, Matthew Dixon and Jeffery Dick. Honorary pallbearers were her other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
