The Shreveport Times February 27, 2005 Marvin Dane Nunley GLOSTER, LA - After 30 years of struggling with Parkinson Disease, Marvin Dane Nunley, Sr. went to his Heavenly Home on February 25, 2005, surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, February 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath in Logansport Louisiana. Officiating will be Bro. Ron McLellan, assisted by Julian Cloud. Burial will follow at the Longstreet Cemetary. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 27, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. He was born to the late Nellie and Luther Nunley on March 22, 1933 in Logansport Louisiana. He served his country in the Army for 3 years during the Korean Conflict. He served the Lord as pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church, Ferry Lake Baptist Church and Longstreet Baptist Church. He was also a teacher at Baptist Christian Academy and College, and Central of Grand Cane. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herman and Earl; and son, Marvin Dane, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Estelle Brown Nunley. Children, Carolyn, Bo and Laura and James and Rhonda. Grandchildren, Heidie and Brent, Wendy and Dustin, Michael, Starla and Destiny. Great Grandchildren, Camden Dane and Zacharya Brent. Sisters, Ruth and husband Harry Loftin, and Nedra Nunley. Brothers, Chesley and Pilar Nunley and Don and Jo Ann Nunley. Sisters-in-law, Worth Nunley, Mother- in-law, Opal Brown. Pallbearers will be Deacons from Gloster Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Men Class of Gloster Baptist Church. We would like to thank Dr. Richard Zweig, the staff at VA, The Dubuis Center, and Hospice of Shreveport Bossier for their loving care.
