Doris O'Brian Smith
Highland Cemetery, Mansfield, DeSoto, LA

Funeral services for Doris O'Brian Smith, a resident of Mansfield, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield. Mrs. Smith passed away Friday, May 13, 2005 in Natchitoches, Louisiana at the age of 65.

Officiating services was Dr. Calvin Phelps and interment followed in Highland Cemetery in Mansfield.

Mrs. Smith was a retired bookkeeper for Smith Oil Field Rentals in Mansfield.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry M. Smith of Mansfield; son Scott Smith of Eufaula, ALA; daughter Sherri Laffitte and husband, Ike, of Mansfield, LA; sister Patsy Compton and husband, Bill, of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren including Tiffany Patrick and husband, Blake; Ryker Smith and J. V. Laffitte. 

She is also survived by a great grandson, Austin Patrick, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Val Ray Timmons, Harold Timmons, Bill Compton, Issac Laffitte, Jack Gamble and Donnie Paul.

The family would like to say thank you to the employees of Maison Deville Nursing Center to include Sissy, Judy, Lottie, Martha, Brandi and Troy Unbehagen for the special care and comfort. Also to Dr. Calvin Phelps for his unconditional time and comfort.
